For antiques that is…Every last Sunday of July, Mr. D and I make our way down to Moss Landing, a small town near Monterey, CA, for the Moss Landing Antique Fair. While not as large–and potentially overwhelming–as the Alameda Flea Market, the Fair allows the visitor to make their way down the closed street at a leisurely pace.
Mr. D and I were on a mission to find some items for our house, just to wake it up with some color and sparkle. We were also pursuing our dream of buying an antique trunk to convert to a table (though Mr. D is still loathe to part with our current coffee table).
In the end, no trunk, but we did end up with some prize items that are now sitting proudly around our living room. Of course, there were some fashion items I couldn’t resist…

I loved the fiery color of this hand-blown glass pitcher, as well as its unusual shape. Got the seller to give us half the price! (Mr. D is great at being a charming haggler.)

check the corners for wear, and especially the lining, which was in mint condition in this case

we didn't buy this picnic set, but how "great gatsby" is that?
More photos from the Fair tomorrow. Happy new week!
