Okay, I’ll admit, I have a bit of a lipstick obsession. I’m forever looking for the right pink, the boldest red, the most natural nude. It isn’t easy finding those for Asian skin. Most of the time, the shades are too orange, which does nothing for my complexion except make me look sallow. It’s taken a lot of trial and error (and Mr. D spending endless hours waiting for me to make up my mind in the drugstore/Target/Sephora, but I’ve got some favorites always floating around in my bag.
Moxie is for when I’m feeling sassy and really need that kick of color. Nude Delight when I’m wanting to be a bit more demure. Revlon’s ColorStay got me through my wedding from start to finish, and is just a great color that’s a few shades deeper than my natural lip color. MAC Ruffian Red is that classic 40s red for me. Rocker is darker, more like a burgundy, perfect for a date night out with Mr. D. Maybelline’s Raisin is an unexpected darker lip. And, as you can see, I get a lot of mileage out of my Burt’s Bees lip balm. Avon‘s Totally Kissable Lipsticks also do double duty to keep lips moisturized and lively with color.
What makes me totally kissable? The way my lipsticks reflect the different shades of my personality.
